The Warpflame Runners have so far had a less than stellar career mainly because I suck at playing Skaven being more used to my crunchy Chaos team. Mmmmm....crunchy.... I'm still learning though and have realised that I'm never going to win by blocking after getting my ass handed to me by a bunch of elves (the shame) who put all but four of my team in the bin. I'll have to learn the finer points of throwing and running the ball instead. Either that or start feeding the Rat Ogre Warpstone to try and persuade him to grow a big Claw. Oh well, Ce la vie! **** Things are looking up after I stopped trying to block everything into oblivion and tried running and scoring instead. The acquisition of extra gutter runners and some new tactics resulted in a 5-0 win against a TR superior human team (although to be fair most of their TR was concentrated in one frail little catcher). Excelsior! |
