<B><BIG><CENTER>++++++++++ * ++++++++++ The Marienburg 'Dixie Blues' ++++++++++ * ++++++++++</B></BIG></CENTER> The 'Dixie Blues' have had many careers, and none of them have been particuarly successful. Orignally, they were Engineers in the city of Marienburg, being funded by the immense coffers of the city to devise new and exciting breakthroughs in technoology. Working in Division Experimental, they soon became known simply as 'Dixies'. Unfortunately, many of their experiments and ideas were faulty and badly thought out, so after three years the Dixies were disbanded. Out of work and pocket, the Dixies took some of their more 'colourful' ideas and decided to make a living working together as a brass band, playing songs for the crowds at local Blood Bowl games. Forgoing the usual instruments like drums and simple horns, they debuted their creations such as the <b>Saxxifone</b> and the <b>Base Gee-Tar</b>, playing their own unique sound. Whilst some visionaries saw this as the future, the more traditional Blood Bowl fans were not impressed, calling the music "upsetting and too blue for a game of Blood Bowl." Determined to work together, the Dixies decided if they couldn't play <i>at</i> Blood Bowl games, they would play <i>in</i> Blood Bowl games instead. Having witnessed many games and having first hand experiences in pain from many (many, many, many) failed experiments, the 'Dixie Blues' have come to finally succeed in ... Well, anything. |
