11.08.: Played our 1st game against the skaven team "RatStuCatz". We lost 1 to 3, but had a good time, thanks to a fair and friendly crowd. Paul Simon was hurt and we will miss him in the next game. His doctor says he will never run as fast again as he used to, but he still has a place in the team. 15.08.: Tom Petty died today in our game against the "Sportacus BB Marvellous Team", we were saddened by his loss and composed a funeral song. Lou Reed hurt himself very badly and has some difficulties while training. Lets hope he can make the next game. From the price money we were able to hire the rookie Ozzy Osbourne instead. We have great hopes in him, although he looks a bit strange and keeps mumbling about killing bats all the time. 19.08: lost another match against the "Kislev Larvae" but this time nobody was seriously hurt or killed. We met in our favourite bar tonight and jammed and drank together, cheering Leonard Cohen who had the match of his lifetime so far. He really gained some experience today. From the earnings we managed to buy an apothecary - let's hope he can help us against the tougher teams. 20.08.: Ozzy Osbourne died today in our game against the "Klatuu Veratah Nictu". What's worse is that he rose from the grave as team member of this evil team! We should have known from the start that he was attracted to the undead side... apart from that, Paul Simon informed us that he wants to retire after he got another injury. He will assist us now in the training sessions. And the apothecary did a great job curing Tim Buckley after he was severely injured too. Oh, and it was the first game we did not lose. Yay for us! We will compose a new song for this occasion! 22.08.:Tom Waits died in todays match (which we lost) against the "ssssilverscales" - at least that was what we understood the name of the team was. Our surprise was great when we realized that we had 2 players called Tom Waits in our team! We never noticed! What a sad bunch we are. We managed to sign two Rookies called Nick Cave and Damien Rice for our team, and bought a nice tombstone. And a round of ale. 13.09.: lost another match but no player. The crowd was wild, stormed the pitch and stunned lots of players. Nick Cave was seriously injured but our apothecary managed to find a cure quickly. Damien managed to hurt an elf badly and KO'd 2 more elfs. We will now nickname him Damien "the Killer". The purse was good and we managed to buy a new player named Roy Harper who specialises in catching the ball. We cheered him in the pub tonight. 13.11.: after a long break where we mostly composed new songs we finally entered the pitch again. Good news: nobody died. Bad news: we lost again. The "Grünhasen" left us no chance and beat us 2-0. We should have trained more often it seems. 14.11.: ...so we decided to find a somewhat unexperienced team and found the Basher Guys. Incredibly we won, and nobody died. Nick Cave and Neil Young were the best players in our team. Now the big question is: what do we do with the load of money we earned? |
