<font color="#FFCC66" type="Palace Script MT"><b>A thick, dark fog enveloped the shores of the great Veladrome stadium. The usually bright lanterns of the stadium were just a faint glow, from the docks. A large crowd of fans that had gathered were all huddling close together to try and keep out the night’s chilling breeze. There was a huge aura of anticipation that filled the air, for the large crowd had all heard the stories of a great band of warrior gods, from Hi Brasyl, had been joined together to create a awesome Bloodbowl team.

The gentle lapping of the sea on the docks was the only sound that could be heard, in the otherwise deathly silence. One of the men standing closest to the waters edge strained his ear out to the fog and there it was a faint clinking of metal and the slapping of oars on the water. As the sound grew louder, the faint glow of lanterns started to appear in fog. The crowd took a couple of steppes back form the edge of the docks, as the air of anticipation grew. Then just as the carved body and face of some mythical beast, on the bow of the boat, came into view a great roar of some wild animal filled the air, startling the crowd and sending them scurrying back. Screams could be heard from the women, and sobbing from the small children in the crowd. This was drowned out by a loud booming laughter, as the great ship came into view. An enormous man, with a grey beard stood on the bow, laughing at the panic stricken crowd.

The ship dropped anchor and a large gangway was drawn on to the docks. One by one out strode these enormous, god like warriors. Each one standing head and shoulders above even the biggest men in the crowd. There bodies adorned with large furs off what can only be described as some enormous beasts and there heads carrying a variety of helmets with great horns protruding from them.
As the last of the warriors, which was the bearded man that had been laughing, stepped of the boat the crowd took a large gasp as out strode behind him in chains was the great beast from where the roar had come. The crowd parted away speedily letting the warriors and their great beast pass them up to the stadium.

Murmurs spread across the crowd, for they knew they had just witnessed the first viewing off great champions.</b>
