The Underground Undertakers (elsewhere known as the Undercity Undertakers, forced to change their name as confusing with another team began) first came to prominence when they completley turned the Skaven stereotype of being weak and fragile upside-down, beating the snot of a band of usually resilient Chaos Dwarves in a non-ranked 'friendly'. Even though their inexperience in defence meant they conceded twice against the slow, cumbersome stunties, they still used their lightning quick attacks to their advantage, knocking out two Dwarves by the end of the first half, and going ahead twice. A late Bull Centaur counter-block denied them a late winner, and the game finished with an exciting 2-2 draw.
The Undertakers came into the limelight with this interesting result, in which their 1-1 blocks were more effective than the speed of their Gutter Runners!
The income of their new-found fame meant a new, improved team reshuffle, and they started to take their game to the leagues. Another (Necromantic) team had the name of Undercity Undertakers, meaning the bemused Grey Seer Marok (Team Manager) had the name changed to Underground Undertakers, vowing to see the eventual demise of the Undercity Undertakers, so they could take their name back....
