Mountainhome Marauders

In the Dwarven year 121, the great King Telod Drownedirons of the Seers of Rocks, a mighty Dwarven kingdom, learned of a sport in a distant land, and sent a party of his bravest (most inebriated) dwarves to begin a fortress in the area. Thus was the origin of the Dwarf fortress, "Fumbledleather". The dwarves there have found that Blood Bowl provides a much greater life expectancy than the usual Dwarven tasks of mining too deep and dealing with elephants and carp. Like all Dwarves, the Mountainhome Marauders and their fellows back at the fortress enjoy alcohol, mushrooms, adopting every stray animal in sight, alcohol, and exquisite dining halls.

The training regimen for the Mountainhome Marauders is incredibly rigorous. First, most of their training is done on cloudless, sunny days, to eliminate the prospects' sun sickness. Luckily, it rains often enough at Fumbledleather that the trainees don't fall prey to the stress. While outside, they're required to mine, chop wood, or do the fortress' accounting, which results in fast, strong, and tough Dwarves in the old Dwarven tradition. They receive a strict diet of booze and syrup roasts made with only the finest minced Dwarven syrup. Their armor's craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.

When they aren't drinking, sleeping, getting caught in an infamous Dwarven chain tantrum, or afflicted with a Strange Mood, the Mountainhome Marauders are the pride of the Seers of Rocks, and truly the greatest the venerable society has to offer. Armok help them all.
