The Renegades were the first dwarf expedition deep into the mountain of Tor'dun. Reports say they fought honorably killing dozens of beastmen before having to ally themselves to greenskins for survival. As the forces of Slaanesh changed the tunnels around them and dwarves and hobgoblins got lost, the bulls they brought to carry treasure began mutating into centaurs. Around the same time as the ale tanks dried, so was starvation beginning to set in. Following the example of the greenskins, the starving dwarves fed on the flesh of the goatmen and even their own dead. The corruption of the whole group was now irreversible. Headstrong the dwarves did not surrender completely to the forces of chaos and used their newfound mutations to power through and find their way through until Ligmar. They were however, not greeted with open arms, as their mutated bodies and allies of circumstance repelled their dwarven brethren. The council of Ligmar ruled that, since they still had the battle records showing so much valour in battle and could contribute with maps, treasure of gems and magical weapons they would not be executed or imprisoned. Even allowing them to keep their now half-person livestock and hobgoblin allies. The Renegades were exiled, finding their new home in an abandoned barren mine, honing their skills, feeding on whatever they can kill and playing bloodbowl as a way to insure resources to maintain survival. |
