This band of Assassins are fairly new to the game of Blood Bowl. It is said that not so long ago, a team of blood bowl players were in transit through the Ash Grove of Athel Loren and an unidentified member of that team went and relieved himself onto a sleeping treeman. The band of wood elves sworn to protect this grove were having an argument over which of them had the shiniest hair and didn't see who had done the misdeed, let alone punish the individual...

All they found was a leaflet from the local towns bb tournament and figured it had to be one of the teams contending for the prize. They stripped themselves of capes and weapons, and entered the tourney themselves. They are still playing to this day, and will not rest until the culprit that tainted the Ash Grove with his disgusting substance is brought to justice. It is said that every time the Ash Grove assassins commit a foul, it is because they have valid reasons to believe the foulee is the tainter of The Ash Grove... And that is but ONE of the stories regarding the origins of this Wood Elf team.
