\ Team Biography We must feed! Mada must feed! Mada swallow island! Mada swallow world! ~Swallowers 'Song' Home: Sunken Beaches of Saarth Stadium: A large jetty of rock claimed by the Moon Clans Captain: Unknown. The creatures often refer to a being known only as Mada, who or what that is remains unclear. Team History: Beneath the waves surrounding the island of Saarth dwells a primal frog-like race. These beings were thought to possess little more than animal intelligence, seemingly only concerned with filling their stomachs with whatever food they could find. The elves thought nothing of the creatures who inhabited the scarce rocky beaches of the island, concerned with their study of the skies, until a fateful day just over a decade ago, when a disastrous landslide sent a small settlement of Moon-elves plunging into the waves. It was then that the true nature of the creatures was revealed. As the desperate elves attempted to escape from the water, the creatures attacked. With ferocity never before seen, the creatures fell upon the elves. The waves frothed red with blood, and the air was filled with screams as the creatures feasted upon elven flesh. Apparently the creatures, known ever since as “The Swallowers”, had enjoyed their meal, for it was not long after that they began to launch attacks on the Moon-elves’ island homes. Although scaling the cliffs with their webbed hands proved nigh impossible, the creatures now keep watch for any elves who stray too near the ocean. At the same time the fiends have begun working to undermine the already unstable foundations of the island and seem intent on dragging the elves down into the sea, to be swallowed, island and all. When the Moon-elves learned the game of Bloodbowl from a traveling team and began to practice on The Crescent, their seaside field, the Swallowers took notice. It is not known how the creatures learned the game or even comprehend its rules; perhaps they simply watched the Moon-elves as they practiced and emulated their prey. However they came by the knowledge, they seem all too happy to meet their favorite meal on the playing field. Special Rules: Devour the Weak.
