Team History: Cult of Moon are very new to Blood Bowl, having only recently learned of the game from a Ryder's trading fleet. As Clan Leader, Purmina took the responsibility of captaining the team.

Goal: To defeat the dreaded Swallowers and prevent their island from sinking.

The Moon Clans: The Moon Clans are a collection of ancient elven clans that make their home at the top of the cliffs and mountains of Saarth - where they are closest to their moon god. The clans lived in peaceful solitude for hundreds of years, interacting only with each other and occasionally the primitive toad people that lived on the beaches of the island.

This changed when the island started to sink. Their cliffs began to erode and slip into the ocean, many of their lives were claimed, and relations with the toad people were strained. The toads had lost their homes, the beaches of the island being the first thing lost beneath the waves. They hungered, and when the cliffs came down the toads feasted.

The Moon Clans are fewer in number now, and have come together under one rulership. She is Purnima, and she is the voice of Lunaros.

The Cult of Moon: The Cult of Moon is the principle religion of the Moon Clans, dedicated to the worship of Lunaros - the moon god; father of the night, watcher of horizons, bringer of light, lord of tides. It is seen as pagan in it's rituals to many outsiders, but at it's heart is a deeply symbolic monotheistic religion. Lunaros is the one god.

The Cult of Moon is led by The Coven of 3. These three priests of Lunaros represent the 3 aspects required for him to communicate with his people. The Eyes and Ears of Lunaros grant him the knowledge to act, and the Voice of Lunaros is the one true leader, the only person with the authority to speak his commands.

Worshippers of Lunaros live at the highest available point, and strive to reach into the sky. Their homes are always atop cliffs and mountains, and they fear for their island as it slips slowly further from divinity.

The Coven of 3: The Coven of 3 are: Purnima - Voice of Lunaros, Rakesh - Eyes of Lunaros, and Mandara - Ears of Lunaros

Traditionally the position Voice of Lunaros is held by a female as it is beleived that only they have the emotional abiity to communicate with their God. Anyone who hears the call may be elected Voice of Lunaros, but there hasn't been a male Voice in the lifetime of any current clansmen. The Eyes and Ears are almost always male and are selected by the Voice. They watch and listen to the people, and act as advisers. They are also Priests of Lunaros, and are responsible for conducting all religious rituals and ceremonies - including more recently the Sacrifice of the Toad as ordained by Purmina - The Voice of Lunaros.
