It has been years since the mighty Gods of Mt Olympus have rated as more than a curious afterthought. Tired of being ignored they have set themselves amongst the mortals to remind them why GODS once ruled over EVERYTHING! Season One 5 Wins and 2 losses. And a huge defense that only conceded 4 TDs to 2 teams (both the losses sadly) Played for the title against the Zar-Naggrag Mass Annihilators (Chaos Dwarves) and lost 1-0 on the scoreboard and suffered 3 SI and 1 Dead to compound the pain. Dionysos was excuted as a sacrifice to the mortals. Season Two Never got it together after the big losses of season ones ending. Played some tight matches and had great fun but finished middle of the pack. Nothing to speak of...no excutions, no votes. Looking to rebound in season 3. Although a pledge of vengence has been made against the Champs the Riftsedge Revenants. Season Three Another great season that ends in despair! 5 Wins 1 Draw 2 Losses. The worst loss of course being the match againstthe SwampBeasts for the championship! The only real highlight was the big win against the Revenants! WRATH!!!! Hades was executed as a sacrifice to the mortals. Season Four A season to forget really. 3 Wins 2 Draws 3 Losses. We opened the season with 2 draws into 2 losses...so were never in the hunt. As always some great fun to be had...and rebuilding to be done. Biggest dissapointment was to miss a chance to renew our rivialry with the Revenants. BUt we have noticed we seem to do better in the odd numbered seasons ;-) Here's to the 5! Season Five Another muddled season. 4 Wins 1 Draw 3 Losses Out of the box with 2 wins...and then 3 straight losses put us out of the hope. A great season for the League though with the Wraithlords winning (then quitting) and some great drama right til the end. Perhaps Season 6 will see us regain some form! Simple n Deadly! The Lightning bow out of existence with this final comp. A simple and deadly proposition...win and play on...lose and retire forever! We Lost ;) |
