ROYAL OSBORNE TRACK OF THE WEEK: Working Day And Night



First season in the Fringe cup, lost 2-1 to the Chrace Titans. Queen Victoria Scoring our solitary TD. Badly hurt two of the pesky High Elves but it was not enough and lost in extra time.

So into the plate we went and faced the Har Ganeth Rogues for the first time in what will become quite a rivalry. This time We won 2-1 in extra time with Albert Prince Consort grabbing both TD's.

In to final we went and faced another Elven team, WhiteIsle vs The Wildhearts. Another 2-1 victory in Extra time saw us lift the Plate high. With Riunner King Edward I "Longshanks" getting both TD's.

All in all good for a first season in the WIL as the team prepered for the main WIL league.

After not making it to the WIL the team stayed in the fringe for another season. The first match in the Guernsey League season was a repeat of the plate final this time Royal Osborne lost 1-0. The team managed to finish second in the league though after winning both remaining fixtures 2-1 with Runner Longshanks getting all the TDs.

As the cup season began Royal Osborne this time won in the first round but lost in the second to their main rivals Har Ganeth Rogues on the coin toss. This ended the teams season trophyless.

Still the season saw many players imprive their skills and with news that this season they will be moving up to the WIL they will need all the skills they can get in the big time.

In what can only be described as a miracle the move of the season was during Royal Osborne's 2-1 victory over Fungus and Frendz. With one turn to go the ball was only a yard from the Royal Osborne end zone. Time for some Dwelfball! Prince Albert picks up the ball and after 2gfis passes it up the field to Queen Victoria who then sprints up the field for a handover to Longshanks who runs it in for a brilliant TD. Dwarves moving the ball forward 24 yards in one turn. Who would have thought it possible?

A slow start to the teams first season in the WIL proper gave way into an absolute rampage in the second half. Having gone 0-1-2 in the first three matches Royal Osborne finished with 3 wins out of 3 scoring 7 and conceding just 1 touchdown.

The highlight of the season was a 2-1 final day victory over the third place team the Aerodynamicists.

The teams progress was steady with many of the team picking up new skills and physical attributes with Runner Longshanks being the pick of the bunch. After another productive season he has now run in 17 touchdowns in just 12 games for the team.
