What happens when a team of baseball players from the far future travels back in time to challenge the greatest teams of the "Old World" only to find that baseball hasn't even been invented yet? They play Blood Bowl of course! The New York Monsters are from distant future of 2020! (DISTANT) The team's players are all enhanced to be the best athletes they can be, with cybernetics, gene therapy, and good old fashioned cheating. How does this stack up with the brutish Blood Bowl teams of the far past? While being genetically-engineered-super-athletes makes them impressive ball handlers and the ability to be almost anywhere on the field has it's advantages... ...Baseball even in the far future has never been the most physically combative sport, which leaves these Monsters prone to getting clobbered if they are caught by the much more violent and strong players of your average 'Bowl team.
