"The Vercusonian Brotherhood of Pearl-Divers proudly present.."

Flush with cash but lacking in manpower, the Brotherhood of Pearl-Divers has emptied the coffers in order to assemble a team of Grind Ball players who would capture the hearts (and patronage) of the people of Vercuso and beyond.

After many inquiries, and much bribing, 11 Elves of questionable ability and pedigree were found, assembled, and dubbed "The Vercuso Pearls".

With a small army of merchants in tow, they seek fame and glory on Grind Ball pitches throughout the Old World.

The Pearls' Head Coach "Al" Alagondûvaesh's philosophy: "Excellence demands sacrifice. That is the way it goes in GRIND; no mercy and no second chances. Speed kills. You can't teach speed. Everything else in the game can be taught, but speed is a gift from Nuffle."
