"Gentlemen, we have come this far, in sweat and blood, on the shoulders of our forerunners and the strength of our abilities. When we go out there, they will be faster than you, they will be stronger than you. They will outthink, outplay and outwit all of you. That i'm certain. However, Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside of them - a desire, a dream, a vision. You can be outperformed at every level, in every aspect; except for one. And that is HEART. You have to outBELIEVE them. Now you may go out there, you may see your teammates fall, you may see your opponents fall, but always remember one thing. IT IS NOT THE STRENGTH OF THE DWARF IN THE FIGHT, BUT THE STRENGTH OF THE FIGHT IN THE DWARF. Now that being said and done... I'll pick 11 of you to go out there and play. But the secret to winning bloodbowl games is working more as a team, less as individuals. I will pick 11. Not my 11 best, but my best 11... --- Coach AbsoluteZero ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are, we believe, the Dwarf team with the highest Fan factor in the league.
Huzzah! 2 tds and 2 cas per game and a win is what we strive for every game!

Ugly as our team looks, we only play to destroy a team that is out to destroy us. Otherwise, the main reason we play is to gain spps for our players. We want to become a team with as many stat increases as possible. And this can only be done by scoring tds with our beards and slayers. The dps are only there because we intend to take part in major tournaments to prove ourselves.
We will keep replacing our beards (unsatisfactory) whenever we deem that we can train another. Bread progression ideals : 1. +ST 2. Guard 3. Dodge 4. Sidestep 5. Mighty blow (blodge sidestep longbeards would seriously rock)
Fouling to us is taking out key players, and when we cannot break armor we will most likely not foul. We don't foul you when you are seriously down in numbers. We don't foul elves nor amazons. (never ever fouled an elf nor zon)

Noticed quite a few of the coaches in this league do not really bother with injury management. The Apothecary is bound to fail sometime, so the best way to keep your stars alive is to keep them sheltered from dps and blitzes and claw/rsf what-nots. The reason our main stars are alive and we have a relatively high turnover rate of AV9 dwarves is because our apothecary is saved for deaths and serious injuries that affect player effectiveness. I have the utmost contempt for coaches who use their apothecary to let a niggled player play, or to fix BH or just mere miss next games.
If you tend to do so, then don't expect any mercy from us. especially if you apoc a BH. rookies should be left to die to protect your starplayers, and our starplayers on this team are the two runners, Hotfoot and Footloose II, and the 2 longbeards, bash and pound. The rest of our players we consider somewhat expandable. As it is a totally different level of difficulty to get a good player to 51 spps without aging and being injured.
======================================================== PAST PLAYERS WE MOURN!
FOOTLOOSE Our Ma 8 Runner... Killed after apo was used by a chaos team called meatgrinder KRIS VOYSEY, Bathoz's st4 ag5 wardancer Dark Elf Blitzer. Killed by the crowd on a chain push. Honestly we didn't want to kill him, just knock him out. GROWLER II, MB,guard,+ma,mutipleblock trollslayer. Killed by a mummy from Whamri. Doesn't take much imagination to know that's thats Khemri. Apothecary... (1) WHOODY, Moxy's treeman with block, pro and standfirm. Killed by a 1db by Bang III. No modifiers whatsoever. against av10. Guess the bots are evil sometimes. ======================================================== UPDATES Why oh why... even when we win by 2 and cas by 2... does our FF keep going down. We once were 24...... 23/10/04 We are now the second largest dwaft team in the league 248/250 but our ff... is ... 19... 01/11/01 Our FF is back to 20 ! now to keep it going up... We are the largest (TS) dwarf team at 278/266! After a game against Metal Hammer, back to 244/244 Couple of games later, after a game against Sandune's Rage of the Dark Gods, Hotfoot aged. sadly at 129 spps. We were prepared for it actually, we just weren't prepared for the -av and +st. :P
Incredible Pound and Bash hit 76 spps without niggling either! But we lost a lot of others to niggling but who cares?!! 25/11/04 Pound is now top longbeard star for all time! ----------------------------- This team was retired due to a moment of folly and frustration after a string of evil games. We lost our best players (sigh, a 100 spp longbeard with no injuries and +ST, and a pretty damn good thrower. But we made history with this team, most longbeards above 100spp (actually, all) Best? runners. Most stat increases (during our peak) on a dwarf team. And definitely, most player turnover per game :P |
