The dank and swampy Isle of Trassel is home to few Norse settlements, and while the harsh conditions mean that all but the finest and strongest survive, most of the natives do not practice professional Blood Bowl due to most of them being engaged in work, harvesting the exotic lumber and plant goods found only on their isolated island, which they also trade to the empire, and in past years there have been ambassadors housed on the island, and some Southerners integrating into their society.

Cheiftan Stugorja, Overlord of Trassel and the Akkar Straits proposed the idea of a BloodBowl team in order to establish further trade connections and deal with the cultural gap emerging between his own islanders and the mainland Norse tribes. Unable to find local interest, he turned his gaze to a bounty of elven slaves captured in a raid. It would have been customary to sell them on to the mainland, elven bodies often being too frail to survive long in the mires and bogs of Trassel.

The Chieftain, However, started the elves on a strict training regimen in the rough and unstable terrain, whipping those who survived his methods into shape and turning them into a team.
