It was evening in Sjoktraken, and Whale Oil mogul Goldur Goldmundsson was in the middle of a discussion with his treasurer. The fishy odor from oil lamps was strong, and beers were being had.

"But Chief, they are Elves! Are you giving away your gold to Elves?! The other chieftains get THEIR Elves for FREE!!". Silvur the Treasurer objected, and his beard jumped. He couldn't believe his ears. The old Dwarf certainly wasn't an Elf-lover, but Silvur didn't know what to make of all this.

"Hohoho, look at me Silvur. Look at all this gold!", Goldur bellowed. "After all these years of peddling oil to the Empire, it's time I spent some of this on something fun. And what could be more fun than to see Elves putting their eternal lives on the line. Just for our merriment! Rather them than the good fishermen of Sjoktraken. Besides, I'm getting old."

"But Chief... they are Elves...", Silvur said in resignation. He knew his chieftain to be stubborn and his mind seemed set. "But... Elves...", he muttered and let out a big sigh.

"Ach well, Goldur, you're the chief, I will contact some scouts about available players".

"Good lad, Silvur. You know, these are not your regular elven thralls. These Elves are BB professionals! With the wages I can give, we will be BUYING the league title! Hohoho."

"But they're Elves, Chief", tried Silvur again. "Enough! It's settled!", Goldur slammed. "Very well, I'll start drawing up the contracts right away Chief", sighed Silvur.
