The Magrahad Maulers came to be in a little village, called Magrahad, nestled in the countryside. The reason for the village to even exist was that is was a nationally famous retirement community. The elderly from hundreds of miles around went to Magrahad to enjoy their golden years. The youth of the village spent their days working in retirement homes: mopping floors, cooking food, changing adult diapers, and listening to old timers tell story upon story of bygone times. The staffs favorite stories were those about events on the bloodbowl pitches throughout the Empire. One day, an especially grumpy old-timer said the retirees could beat the young whipper-snapper staff on the bloodbowl pitch. Insulted, the day-staff accepted the challenge. The days after the match saw the retirement communities absent of many day-staff, due to the day-staff calling in sick as they learned to walk again, and heal from their other painful wounds. This public face beating only encouraged the young'n to try again. Slowly and surely, the day-staff learned how to punch, cripple, maim, and foul the over sixty-five. Thus was born the Magrahad Maulers! When the elderly figured out that the day-staff were too good on the bloodbowl pitch, they hatched an ingenious plan to exact their revenge. With a twinkle in their eye, they told the Magrahad Maulers that they would do great in the professional game. The young and dumb believed the lie, and packed their bags for the big time, and so here they are in the NWFL getting their faced punched-in, once again to the delight of the over sixty-five. |
