Formed in Drakenhof by Lord Alois zu Drakenhof, the Lightening are a made up of the Vampire Lord's own household, plus a selection of their thralls. The thralls are told that if they perform well, they may be selected for elevation and made into vampires, though thus far this has never actually happened. The thralls are generally treated as expendable on the team though some have become favoured through particularly great plays. The thralls life is rarely comofortable, mistakes on the pitch are punished harshly, and rewards are usually fleeting (conversely if one of the vampires makes a mistake, usual practice is to blame the nearest thrall and punish them anyway). |
