Coached by the famous dwarf blitzer Troll Gutter (now retired), he's given the players various names based on position, role, personal feelings, etc., having never bothered to learn the players' native tongue. For their part, the pygmys are relatively happy. Having been purchased from a rather unpleasant slave trader, they are treated very well by old Troll Gutter, who, despite his best attempts to the contrary, finds himself growing more and more attached to the little guys. With Troll Gutter's unique training regime, they view practice as a fun oppertunity to earn treats, which he cleverly hides inside the stuffed dummies.
