Owner: Don Enrique Sangrazul Head Coach: Don Gabriel Quemar Motto: Sobresalir a todo costa! (Excel at all costs!) Team Colours: Blood Red and Gold Montetriste Noblemen The Montetriste Noblemen were founded by Don Enrique Sangrazul, a former explorer and pirate. On one of his visits to Lustria- where he regularly sailed with his crew- he barely made it back to his ship alive. He was chased by the dragonmen, who sometimes guarded these ancient places. The reason he barely made it was that he was dragging a sack of gems and artifacts behind him. Upon arriving back in Estalia he decided to end his life of adventure and settle down. He settled in Montetriste, an old city in the Abasko Mountains. Not being one to just sit and enjoy his riches he decided to spend his money and time on a lifelong dream of his. Ever since childhood he was fascinated by the brutal, but beautiful game popular all over the Old World, Blood Bowl. Thus he decided to found a team. The Noblemen were born. Recruiting from nearby settlements first he tried to train the team himself. That resulted in disaster, so he hired the shrewd and flamboyant coach Don Gabriel Quemar. Later as word spread hopeful from all around Estalia and beyond applied to the team. CabalVision somehow gained knowledge of the existense of the team and contacted Don Enrique, offering to follow the team's adventures as a part of the CIBBL. CIBBL was a new concept by the company to divide the some of the world's less known teams into regional divisions and follow their games and everyday life. They call this concept Unlimited Reality show (Unreality short). Their floating magic cameras would follow coaching staff and team members around, showing their life outside of the Blood Bowl Field too. This is how the adventures of the Noblemen began. Stadium The stadium of the Noblemen is a relic left from ancient times. Back in those days it was used by an unknown civilization to host bloody fights to the death. Coaching staff Don Enrique Sangrazul- Owner of the team. He made his fortune allowing him to found the team bringing back sacred artifacts from Lustria as leader of expeditions and rampant piracy. He has a generally sombre attitude, but is prone to short fits of rage. He founded the team to have a steady income after he retired from a life at sea. Don Gabriel Quemar- Short tempered, ill-mannered head coach of the team. Known for his strange rituals and foul mouth. As a coach he is almost halfway semi-mediocre. Alberto Carnicero- Apothecary of the team. A former plague doctor, terrified by all kinds of illnesses he is always seen wearing his old uniform. As a doctor he contracted many strange sicknesses, but somehow he always survived. They took their toll however, leaving hims badly short sighted and almost deaf. That sometimes leads to hilarious results, like the time when he accidentally crushed the skull of a trainee just as he finished treating his sprained ankle. A closeted sadist. Hometown Montetriste is a rather large mountain city in the southeastern part of Estalia. Seated in the Abasko Mountains in clear weather one can see the blue of the Southern Sea in the distance. The architecture is typical Estalian, with a tiny hint of Araby influence. The weather is generally pleasant, but very unpredictable. Sometimes heavy snow falls in the mountains, just to be swept aside by a heatwave from the south. Seasons Year One-Winter The winter friendlies started off with a game against the elusive assassin rats from far east. A hard fought game where the skaven managed to secure a draw thanks to a wire trap on the goalline. The second game was fought against the maniac worshipper of khorne where internal struggle of two prospects resulted in a draw, that could have been a win. The last game of the season was also a draw, this time against a daemon worhipping northern Nipponese team. In a game of two completely opposite halfs the Noblemen were first beaten badly in the first half, then walked over the opposition in the second part of the game. All in all a decent winter season. Year One-Spring We managed to win our first divisional competition, only allowing one touchdown scored against us in three games. Year One-Summer Travelling to the Obsidian Chalice tournament we met fierce opposition. In the end we came out on top, thanks to having a positive head-to-head record against the Bhubaneswar Rampage. Thus we won the Obsidian Chalice. As thanks to the Khorne worshipping maniacs of the team Crimson Skull who beat our main rivals, the Ninja Warriors to give us the victory a small Khornate shrine was erected in Montetriste. A very successful campaign in the far Nippon, although the weather was hell. We had several blizzards, despite this being a summer tournament. Year One- Autumn Participating in the Gold Division, that was the league's top division the Noblemen suffered a surprising defeat against the Bhubaneswar Rampage. This ultimately cost us the final victory after only managing a draw versus the final winner Ninja Warriors in the last round. Even aided by a wizard we were unable to win that game, despite having a good chance at one point. We finished third in the end, with a respectable 2-3-1 record winning the tie-breaker against the Trantio Dragon Hawks thanks to beating them. All in all a good season for the Noblemen where we could have claimed victory with Lady Luck on our side. We shall claim it next year without a doubt. Year Two-Winter Our only winter friendly was played on a a small island off the coast of Araby. We lost against the tough Sea Elfs fron Tor Anroc in a tough fight. Year Two-Spring In probably the closest Spring season there ever will be we managed to snatch victory, thanks to having the best casualty difference, while all teams had the same touchdown difference. We also managed to set a dubious record; by suffering the biggest upset in the league up to that date. Year Two- Summer Thanks to us winning our division we were invited to the CabalVision Invitational where we met the winners of the other regions. This proved to be hell for us, as we only won one of our games and finished in the bottom half of the tournament. Players text goes here NSL template by Balle2000. |
