Akendorf Griffins Franchise Owner: CEB Holdings Head Coach: Thaddeus "Spike" Thompson Province: The Borderlands Home Field: Thunder River Stadium Team Colours: Aqua and Orange With the success of the DLE a handful of Barons in the eastern Borderlands have partnered up to open a new franchise. After much bickering and a few scuffles the Princedom of Akendorf was decided to be the franchises base in the Borderlands. Head Coach Greasy Neale a grizzled veteran of the game with a no nonsense approach and a keen eye for talent has been enlisted to whip the Griffins into fighting shape. This is how we remember him, since after the third game of season 3, he went missing. Rumors about him getting fired, LITERALLY, are spreading around the DLE, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Spike, the new head coach, doesn't talk about his colleague, and keep on suggesting to stop thinking about him 'Greasy' Neales words of wisdom "You see, in this world there's two kinds of players, my friend: those with piling on, and those who die." "When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall ogre grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head down against the astrogranite, and he looks you crooked in the eyeand he asks you if you've paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right backin the eye, and you remember what ol' Greasy Neale always says at a time like that: "Have you paid your dues, Al?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." "Remember...there is always a little halfling in the stands that wants to be just like you, don't disappoint him." Seasons 'Greasy' Neales Season 1 review We did not participate in Season 1, so I can't make a comment on that. ............................................................................ Raymond Clay Childress, Jr. - Childress is the teams hard hitter, I expect him to dish out the pain come game time. Jack Del Rio - Del Rio is an unremarkable player, although he does seem to know when to stick the boot in. Mike Vanderjagt - Vanderjagt is a born leader and he sure knows how to punt a football. Travis Benjamin - Benjamin was the Griffins first pick in the draft. He will bring the speed to the team leaving most opponents in his dust. Telvin Smith - Smith was the Griffins second draft, he can tie up opponents and will cause all sorts of problems. Travis Lewis - Lewis finishes of the Griffins Blitzers and has the skill and ability to fit into to Coach Neales plans. Coty Sensabaugh - Sensabaugh is another player who is skilled nicely to fit in with Coach Neales defensive plans. Chris Watt - Watt is the teams big guy, always on the front line. Once he gets the momentum going he is almost impossible to stop. DeAngelo Tyson - A dirty player if ever I saw one. And he really knows how to keep fend of any accusations of foul play. Keith McGill - Quick and nimble McGill can avoid hits from some of the divisions best hitters. Garrett Gilbert - Gilbert is cool under pressure and has an eye for danger. Bene Benwikere - Benewikere is Coach Neales final pick in the draft. He fits in with Neales playing style nicely. Kent Hill - Rookie Kent Hill has quickly become a fan favorite and would be a boon to any team on offence or defence. Reggie Mathis - Another Rookie who has progressed well under Coach Neales guidance and is often one of the first players onto each weeks starting team. Rivalries 'Greasy' Neales KFC West opponent run down Altdorf Thunderbolts - The Thunderbolts are a decent looking team with a real nice set of receivers and decent defensive line. Broekwater Patriots - The Patriots are a ruthless team. They have one of best and fiercest defensive lines led by the brutal Dont'a Hightower. Middenheim Classics - The Classics struggled in the first season and saw Coach ianuk77 replaced by K2 who has since been replaced by bigf. They have some decent players and could cause some problems.
