“What is this you are waving around under my nose, Ralnor?” asked an exasperated Traeliorn Salendor. The young elf, young in Elvish terms anyway as he was fast approaching his 400th birthday, was preparing for the upcoming game by giving his mind the pre-game exercises his coach had taught him. But now his friend, and long time team mate, Ralnor Molaroni was waving something in front of his face. With his mind distracted and a begrudging acceptance that he was going to have to start his preparations again, Traeliorn gives his friend his full attention.

“Look at this Trae!” says Ralnor, while continuing to wave the flier emblazoned with EEL across the top

Turning the page over and around, Traeliorn begins to read the simple human script. “Empire Elite League” he says out loud. “Are you serious Ralnor? I travelling to the Empire to play ball against Humans, shorties, greenskins and you know they even let the dead play over there.”

“Better than staying here and getting our posteriors handed to us week in, week out as we struggle to make ends meet…..think we could be the best team to watch in the league, show them how to really play ball,” said Ralnor.

With visions of grandeur embedded firmly in their minds Traeliorn and Ralnor head out onto the field for their weekly hiding. The bloodbowl pitch is no place for daydreamers and with their minds elsewhere Traeliorn and Ralnor’s Tor Achare Falcons take a sound beating, losing to a record defeat in the High Elf Pro Bowl league, 10-1.

Reaching the land of man, Traeliorn stands astounded at the residual beauty of the Bretonnian port city of L’Anguille, with its towering white pillar illuminating the path for centuries of sailors and their ships to make safe landing at the mouth of the river Sannez. A brief history lesson prior to his departure had informed the young prince that L’Anguille was built on the site of the former elven colony Tor Alessi and upon seeing the stunning architecture from the bow of the seafaring galley, his mind was made up, this is where the team would be based. Not only was it an alluring location, but with its proximity to the sea getting future players to join the team would be easier if they did not have to travel a long distance upon arriving.

And so, taking the name from his former team the Tor Alessi Falcons were born – to compete in the ARR and pit their fortunes against the best that the Old World had to offer……
