Ice Tooth Marauders
Not much was known about the savage Khorne worshipping tribes of the Ice Tooth Mountains, beyond the horrifying tales of the horrified few which were able to escape the ravages of their raids. For centuries the scattered tribes had been content to keep the marauding to the few travelers brave or desperate enough to attempt to cross the jagged peaks or to one another, as rumors abound of infighting among the scattered small tribes led by the most vicious of them. The status quo has existed for as long as most of the mortal races of Norsca can remember, until now.

The men guarding the walls of Thorkavik we terrified at the first sight of the band of warpainted Beastmen and massive feral humanoids clad in mismatched armor shambling towards their village. The cry went up and soon the local militia was manning the walls, but the expected attack did not come. Instead the band halted outside of bowshot and a small, (well small compared to the warriors surrounding him) crazy-eyed human stepped forward and approached the gates alone. He was dressed in a motely array of furs and mismatched finery and his faced was so shrouded by a wild beard that is was difficult to tell where his beard ended and his wild hair began. The human stopped in front of the gates and called for the master of the town in a thick tongue clearly unaccustomed to the common speech of civilization, and waited. When the mayor finally reluctantly poked his head over the spiked crenellations the scruffy human spoke up haltingly.

“Me be Lonestar… me coach BloodBowl for tribe of Iac'ulum the Terrible… Khorne give vision of great glory in blood found on pitch… want to destroy… me mean play… no raid while team welcome..”

The rest as they say is history, as the mayor, with the blessing of the League Commission, gave the unlikely coach Lonestar a team charter. Eager to end the raiding, and more than a little curious as to how the beasts would fare on the pitch.
