The Bergsburgh Burghers, as their name implies, are a team formed (although not staffed by, heavens no), the merchant classes of the small Middenlander town of Bergsburgh. While many in the league think the team, it's sponsors, and it's patrons are utterly useless, the Burghers seek to prove their worthiness.

Founded by noted rich layabout Percy G. Haroldson II Esq., the Burghers stadium is a massive, sprawling construct made of the finest materials and most luxurious concessions and seating. Most patrons to the games, shockingly enough, care naught for the sport itself, merely the experience of the stadium itself. Tickets for the games are so expensive that the common rabble has had to resort to building makeshift shanty towers around the stadium itself in order to watch the game, as even the cheapest nosebleed seats are only afforadble by the upper middle classes of Middenlander society.

Needless to say, little of that money actually makes it way back to the team itself, who has to pay rent to their own stadium, depressingly enough.
