No wiser words could've come to the young goblin's mind as he faced down the hordes of the dead surrounding him. And as a Wight approached him, he felt the blow connect with his head before everything went dark.

...but then he awoke. Not anywhere recognizable, but in a strange...in between. He had heard some crazed shamans speak of afterlife, but never truly imagined a place like this. He felt his body drawn deeper into darkness.

...and he awoke again. In a world that seemed familiar, but slightly different. For one, no one remembered who he was, or could tell him how he'd gotten here. It didn't take long for the young goblin to understand: he was in another timeline. One where he hadn't died on the bloodbowl field. One where he could extract revenge on those who'd wronged him.

Using his knowledge of the other world, he quickly made a name for himself. The lesser hobs listened to him. He made them believe he was stronger, smarter. And they elevated him to a position where he truly was stronger and smarter than them. "Khan of Khans" some said. "Unkillable" said others. But he knew the truth, a word the goblins didn't even know the meaning of: Indomitable. Even death could not defeat him.

Gathering his teammates in this time, he formed a pureblood team of hobgoblins, the strongest he could find. One bent on vengeance, using every dirty trick in the book to defeat their opponents. No longer would the hobgoblins be the fodder to the dwarves, or undead, or any creatures.

They would be Champions.
