"Coach Nohistor was in a pickle: those Orcs wanted their gold back and they wanted it now. He had tried to convince them that a Blood Bowl team would have worked as a long-term investment, but they turned a deaf ear. “Ogre gits ain’t gud for business” the Boss said. “’Cuz they never win”, added nodding his right hand”. A ridiculous notion, of course, and yet his Ogre team hadn’t been as successful as he hoped initially. After another loss, the coffers were empty and the players, even the lowest of the snotlings, were refusing to take the field. Without a coin and with the prospect of losing the use of his legs as well as his team, he did what all ogres do when they have a problem to solve: he got drunk and wallowed in his own misery and anger. But his luck was about to turn: a couple of Bedouins were among the patrons of the inn, and he overheard them telling a story about a fabulous bounty hidden in the Land of the Dead, the treasure of King Thoth the Wise. They were treasure hunters, and they had a map with them, and they were quite drunk. An idea flashed in Nohistor’s head, as a malevolent grin appeared on his face. He bought them keg of beer after keg of beer, until they were all passed out or too dizzy to move. Then, when it was time to pay, he grabbed the map and made a run for the exit, easily outrunning the portly tavern owner. With only his clothes and a bunch of supplies, he embarked on his expedition in the dry, unforgiving desert. The map, however, was of little help. Hours became days, and days became weeks. Soon, he ran out of oasis to satiate his thirst and caravans to raid for food. Half-insane and malnourished, Nohistor was on the brink of giving up but, at long last, he saw a huge pyramid of basalt half-buried in the scorching sands. To his surprise, there were no traps nor guards. He entered that treasure chamber, and the view made him breathless: the huge room was literally filled to the roof with gold. Many skeletons and giant mummies were propped up, as if posing as guards. In the middle of it all, on a slab of black marble, lay the mummy of king Thoth, an Ibis-shaped crown on his head. Carefully, Nohistor walked through the pile of gold, eyeing the skeletons. When it was clear that nothing was moving, he cackled and ran excitedly to the mummy, carefully took the crown and put it on his head. The skeletons and guardians immediately stirred to life, stepping down from their pedestal. Nohistor thought he was done, but to his surprise every one of them knelt before him. “Hail to King Thoth!”, a voice in his head boomed. “Welcome back from your slumber, you have risen, and we serve once again”. The ogre soon found out that the skeletons readily fulfilled any wish that came to his mind. He ordered them to transport the treasure, and in a few hours the caravan was on its way towards the nearest city of the living. He asked for backrubs and a palanquin, and the guards eagerly attended his needs. The crown must have been defective, and the skeletons mixed him up with their true pharaoh! Unfortunately, not everything that shines is made of gold. His army attended his demands, true, but no matter what they wouldn’t allow any part of the treasure to get separated, so no way to invest it. The orcs were not a problem anymore, but the ogre was still broke. Such a big treasure, and yet no way to spend it – it was maddening! Nohistor, however, was a crafty ogre, and soon devised a plan to take advantage of his newfound fortune. The skeletons would have been great Blood Bowl players, and he was, after all, a coach. Plus, he must had lost some marbles under the sun. Coach-pharaoh Nohistor, the second coming of king Thoth, called the CabalVision offices, and demanded that his team was included in their league. His mission: get enough money to renew his Grand Palace in the desert and support a new ogre team."
