Hugliek and is warriors went looking for war. What could go wrong they thought as the fine looking warriors sailed off. Well for one thing they had all originally grown up well away from the sea and only traveled by sea to find a big enough war. Thus they got hopelessly lost and landed on Albion where they promptly tried to fight anyone they came across. This was looked badly on by the locals as violence is obviously abhorrent off of the blood bowl field. They are immensely boastful of the smallest achievements, taking great pride in recording whenever one of them forces an opposing player to be carted off the pitch and the seriousness of it. They quickly learnt the rules of this game and took to it with gusto. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Blood bowl is like the bar fights they are used to. None of them had been well trained in the weapons they carried, nor did their medic know much about human physiology. In fact that last one was still an issue in blood bowl as their medic became the team apothecary and was beyond useless at the role... Quickly their dreams of glory on the battlefield turned to dreams of glory on the blood bowl field. Will it happen? Unlikely but in blood bowl nothing likely ever happens anyway! Season 48 went well with plenty of beating up elves and Goblins which saw a promotion. Season 49 was a sudden reversal against Orcs, Dwarves and Dark elves. Playing against people who knew how to fight back was a whole lot less fun and saw a drop right back to the regionals. Season 50 continued the yoyo trend with a big upturn as the dice helped the Warriors show their superiority against Elves and Goblins again! In Season 51 with a few lucky results and a squeeky tight finish they promoted to the Premiership boasting some of the top coaches living in Albion. Season 52 saw a few more lucky results and last minute plays but unfortunately it wasn't enough against stern opposition as they were demoted again. Season 53 saw an amazing return to form vs Zons, Skaven. Unfortunately Jared, star blitzer saw his end against the Orcs but the Warriors held on for their first Conference championship! Season 54 saw Nuffle well and truly bless the warriors. They started off iffy, dropping the ball on the line but a draw against a great coach was a good start. Keeping against High Elves they stuck it out for a tough 2-0 win as the elves fell over from every stiff breeze going. They held a tough defense against dwarves showing great fight to stay on the pitch in spite of not having much armour. The tide started to turn vs Dark Elves as they ripped through the side and forced Hem III into retirement. A tough drudge of a game against Nurgle saw them hold out for a draw. However a strong Chaos team finally shut them out and saw another loss. A shambling undead side that spent the game focusing on the shambling allowed them to get back to winning ways. This leap frogged them to a 7 casualty game against the humans. A final 2-0 win vs Orcs as Nuffle bent all his will to the Norse saw them take the premiership title. Will Nuffle continue to bless them so ridiculously? Well one thing for sure is that they will be entertaining with 50 casualties in 9 games (for and against). |
