Theodoric Gausser, the Elector Count of Nordland, having witnessed the glories of teams such as the Reikland Reavers lamented that the inhabitants of Nordland did not have a Blood Bowl team to call their own. Seizing the opportunity to gain favour with his subjects the Elector Count decreed that a mighty Blood Bowl team be created to rival all teams that have come before it. The capital city of Nordland, Salzenmund, was selected as the new home of the team, with the team adopting the eagle as its mascot in reverence to the Provincial Banner of Nordland.

The Burgomeister, Maximillian von Kirsheschlage was appointed as General Manager of the team, his first act was to appoint coach YishWaagh as Head Coach. Try-outs were held with hopefuls flocking from all over the province to seek fame, glory and riches with the new team. Coach YishWaagh selected the best 11 players and the Salzenmund Eagles were born.

FACILITIES

The team play their home games in the Silverdome. The Silverdome is a newly constructed stadium made possible with sponsorship and funding from the Nordland Silversmith’s Guild. The Guild are also the current main sponsor of the team.
