As the one place in the Empire where humans and Wood Elves live in any sort of proximity to each other, the province of Talabecland has a relatively large population of half-elves.

Even here though, the insular and superstitious outlook of the average Imperial citizen sets these people apart from their fellows, who often consider them unlucky, impious or even cursed, believing them to be literal changelings, switched at birth by the conniving elves.

Already used to relying on each other for community and understanding, eight Half-Elf families have now joined forces to win greater acceptance by the surest and most expedient method - by earning fame and glory for Talabecland as Blood Bowl stars.

To this end, the eight families have recruited a handful of talented outsiders, and might do so again, but elven heritage is a requirement for all players and half-elves aren't exactly common, so the team is likely to stay a family concern for the foreseeable future.

Making a virtue of necessity, while most of the team founders still play, the Changelings have already become a generational team, as the new blood are all relatives of current or former players. This policy ensures a high level of team loyalty and camraderie - the Changelings are one of the most tight-knit squads in BIBBL!
