A promising 2-3 start ended in disaster. The Norse picked up 5 players and 2 sponsors and are still under the cap. The big news is Beorg Wolffang a wolf import. Almost the entire Nome treasury was spent. An injured John Brynteson " We should be one of the teams to beat now that we have a bench." Season#2 7-1-2 22pts 2nd Place Lost the Potato Bowl Championship. The bench and the import made the difference. Nome was undefeated until the Championship. They lost 2-1 on two long TDs. They had the Humans down to 2 men and were coming back when time ran out. Season#3 4-4-2 14 pts 11th place out of 20 An up and down season for Nome. The Northmen loss to both Humansville & Anahola early, bounced back but finished with 2 defeats. Nome retired 2 players to make room for a new import. Season#4 Western Conference 6-1-2 20 pts 3rd place out of 18 overall 6-2-2 20 pts Another late season collapse, the Norse won their first six before tying 2 and than losing 2.John Brynteson had an off season and the Nome Nugget died. Roles were blurred. Nome hopes to develope a solid #5 and win late. Season#5 Overall 10-0-0 30 pts Played in Western Division and Premier Division of WC Nome won every game. The Norsemen eliminated one of last years champs in Divisional play and finally beat Humansville to win it all in the WC. Nome will be a solid favor to repeat. PLAYERS The Dead #1=The Unnamed Man who played as Wyatt Earp’s Dexter Saloon was the leagues only kicker in Season#1 and the 1st player ever to die on the field. #2=Erik Lindblom, who died in Season#1, one of the three Nome owners will be replaced by his son in Season#2. *** Did you know... 1-The Nome Nuggets 6 fouls in game#1 of season#2 was more than the USWFL leader had for all of season#1(5).
