Head Coach: MHCREED Race: Slann Team Colours: Blue and Green Cuatholomec's Devout Hoppers Deep in the Jungles of Lustria resides a great gilded temple, lording over the mighty lake Texempo. The Temple of Cuatholomec is the residence of the devoted Slann cult to their patron. The temple is a mighty structure filled with vines and spawning pools as well as many altars not just to Cuatholomec, but also the mighty Nuffle. Cuatholomec's Devout Hoppers club was founded in the 6th year during the end of the winter season. The clubs goals, to bring glory to The Cult of Cuatholomec as well as indulge in the great game of Blood Bowl. Seasons The team's inaugural winter season was very last minute, however the team was quickly introduced to the grueling game. In the first match, the Hoppers met the Vanhaldenschlosse Horrors. It was a brutal match, resulting in the death of rookie Xal Olmec, however the new team managed to tie the much stronger flesh golems. The Hoppers then met the Grim Shade Stalkers. The Vampires nearly self-destructed, however held out and taught the Hoppers the lesson of defeat in a 2-1 match. Their third match against the Bright Order Bandits was a brutal one, the elementals were much stronger, however the Hoppers stood toe to toe and managed another draw. A breakout performance for the team's blitzer and captain Huaycapeca, who attained much spp, despite a brutal broken jaw. The Hoppers closed the season in another brutal match against the Savage Outback Rangers. A Lumbrian team of savages tested the strength of the devout Slann and resulted in another tie. This was not all bad tho. Finishing the season 3 draws and one loss was actually commendable for a new team entering the league. Lord Cuatholomec would want a strong showing in the Spring... The First match of their first spring season was a disheartening, one sided beatdown against the Lizardmen team Quetza Coatlācah. Two of the Hoppers fell to their mighty Saurus'. Sepac the Quick and Kalua-Olem. This was not the beginning the team was hoping for. The Second was another tough match against Still Waters Run Deep, another blow out against the Hoppers. Lord Cuatholomec was only mildly upset, his mood slightly encouraged with the death of Puddles at the hands of Drax-Xil. The Spring Season closed, following another loss, a blowout no less, to the Pahuax Huntmasters. The only redeeming factor being another sacrifice in the blood of Graceful Netter by Sa-Lorek. The Hoppers were deflated and bitter taking a more aggressive approach with them into the Athel Loren Green Thumb. They played strong in their first match against the Wolf Lands Slavers, however couldn't come up with the tie leaving it 0 and 1.The Second match up came against the K'r'shh Sl'ppr'ss. While the Hoppers showed more promise, another 0 and 1 loss followed suit. Disaster struck in a 2 - 0 loss in the following match against the Orc Big'Uns of Beegrok Massif Mob. Young Cala-Xor was nearly killed and Paopla, the star catcher, sustained a gouged eye. The Summer Cup ended for the Hoppers as they went against they're toughest opponent to date, Modryn's Midnight Meddlers! The elves outclassed the Hoppers and crushed them 3 nil, giving their new rookie catcher M'hazel Capac a gouged eye. Another dissapointing season for the hoppers. The Head Coach had to reorganize himself and go back to the drawing board in preparation for the Autumn season. The Hoppers found themselves in the Leather division, and their first opponents being their new rivals in Lustria, the Kara Nightingales. The Amazon's tested the Hoppers, but the months of frustration were finally eased as the team tasted their first victory! Soundly beating their new rivals 3-1! The Hoppers had a new gameplan going forward for sure. Despite their new outlook, the team had to take on the Savage Outback Rangers next, a brutal Lumbrian team that ended the career of a debuting rookie lineman, Nal-Xalmec. Despite the setback, Kukulmatox, the blitzer joined the team for a match against the dreaded Khorne Daemons of Axhakkum's Furious Rage! The Hoppers fought in their bloodiest match yet, with many badly hurt Slann, however rookie blitzer Kuku decided Khorne would drink it's own blood as he ended Wheshnaga the cultist, the game ending in a draw. The Hoppers final opponents were the undead Ka-Sabar team of Bronze Ushabti of Asaph. Another tense batal with a much more bashy team, the Hopper's shown their own strength in battle, Xacuantel managing to even slay a Skeleton! The Hopper's finished off the Autumn with a 1-0 win!! Placing them 3rd in the cup standings overall! Players text goes here credit goes to balle2000 for the great template :D |
