The Averheim College is situated nicely on the top of a hill outside the city of Averheim. From there you can see the misty mountains where adventure beckons. Are there trolls there? Or mysterious dwarfs? Or maybe there is gold in them mountains? Out of this yearning for the unknown was born the prospectors. Those who dare to go look, where others only dream. The College team took this badge upon the selves and named the team the Prospectors. Do they not look splendid on the field in their black and gold livery?

Year 1: Averheim hasn't traditionally been a strong college on the Blood Bowl field, but then three things happened. First, coach ttorvatn came to town, a coach that looked for tand appreciated female talents. Then, he discovered Anja Ochs, a redheaded sophomore of arcane languages who had a real talent arm, and made her quarterback. And finally, he found Emmelin Büchel, a darkhaired, gangly junior making her way into roads and bridges engineering, and made her wide receiver. He then proceeded to teach the Prospectors a thing or two about throwing the ball and the halfling youths around, and suddenly, they looked... Deadly good. For the first time ever, Averheim College dares to hope for titles. But the season is long and gritty, and a lot of hard work will be required.

Winter season: Averland played three training matches, and came out with a 1-1-1 record. "About average", coach ttorvatn quipped when he was asked what he thought about that. Greatest moment of the Winter season: Turn two of first half in the match vs Chipmunks, when rookie halfing youth Saradoc Gamwich kills an AV10 dwarf with a regular block!

Spring Season: Started out well, but ended with a 3-0-4 record and place in the third tier for the Fall season. Greatest moment of the Spring season: Turn 7 of the second half in the match vs. Wissenland, when the team is leading 2-1 but Boomsticks only needs a completion, and can then run in the draw. Then, enter Anja Ochs with an interception in three tackle zones. She then dogdges away from her opponent, makes a GFI to hand the ball over to rookie halfling youth Audomar Thornburrow, who is then thrown by teammate Vivianne to score the winning TD.

Summer Season: Made a 2-0-1 record in the quailfier, enough to make it into the top tier tournament. Won their first cup match versus the White Tigers. Greatest moment of the Summer season: turn 5 in the second half, where the Tigers are ahead 1-0 and has the ball stalled almost at the Prospectors goal line with the Tigers ahead in players on the field by 9 to 8 and Prospectors with no RR. The ball is apparently safe with the ballcarrier protected by two players and with their star player Cheng Lung just beside. But looks can be deceiving, as the Tigers are just about to discover to their dismay. First, Audomar Thornburrow makes four 3+ dodges (two against a tackler) to block the last free space for the ballcarrier, and then star receiver Emmelin Büchel goes into action. A 2+, a 3+ and a 4+ dodge brings her into blitzing range from the ballcarrier, and a -2d block with two pushbacks surfs the ballcarrier. The fans throw the ball out onto the field, and Thorwald Hesselberger can pick it up and allow the Prospectors to even the game. Aggressive gameplay by the halfling youths enabled the team to win through another defensive TD on overtime!
