OSTERMARK

The rural province of Ostermark is a sombre and grim land with a history abound with battles, invasions, disaster and lawless reavers. To the north lies rugged Kislev, to the south the cursed lands of Sylvania. Other landmarks include the ruined city of Mordheim, the Bleak Moors, and the ancient battlesite of Hel Fenn.

Ostermarkers tend to be stout and thickset, and their eyes often reveal an Eastern heritage brought by the Ungols long ago. Because of the cold weather, Ostermarkers tend to wear several layers of clothing in a style that seems quaint or old-fashioned to others in the Empire. Most claim that Ostermarkers are half Kislevite, half peasant and entirely morose. Famed for long drinking binges, elaborate funerals, and combinations of the two, many people fear to ask an Ostermarker how their day has been, for fear of a depressing monologue.

Ostermark is the home of the Knights of the Everlasting Light, champions of justice and lost causes, but are perhaps even better known for being a cursed order. After a series of disasters, such as fire, earthquake, and comet-strikes, the current chapterhouse is based in the city of Essen in Ostermark. They are known to polish their armour to a highly reflective shine and their primary symbol is that of a lit candle, sometimes modified to feature a forked flame. In battle, they wield enchanted lances that gleam with such luminosity that the foe cannot see to adequately defend themselves against the Templars' devastating charge.

ESSEN

An isolated town along the North Stir, Essen sits in an unenviable place between the portion of the Great Forest known as the Dead Wood on the west, the Eerie Downs on the East, and the Hel Fenn across the river to the south. Under the rule of the Margrave Gotthold Schurz, Essen has the reputation as the most haunted village in the Empire. Tavern tales say that Ghosts are as common on the streets as people, that Zombies till the fields, and Sylvanian Vampires hunt openly in Essen.

KNIGHTS OF THE EVERLASTING LIGHT

The Knights of the Everlasting Light are a Knight Order based in Essen dedicated to uphold the values of Verena, Goddess of Truth and Justice, and sworn to protect the common people from any and all harms in the context of justice and fairness.

The Knights of the Everlasting Light are a doomed Order, an institution that shoulders the heavy burden of an ancient and terrible curse. Many view these warriors with a mixture of sympathy and mockery, for they cannot understand why any would voluntarily accept the curse by joining the ranks of this ancient Brotherhood. Despite their blight, the Knights of the Everlasting Light are noble and true in their service to their Goddess, and amongst the countless tales of their curse there are an even number of them revolving around their heroism and bravery. These Tales are always coloured by gloomy ends and desperate efforts to hold back the call of the curse that afflicts them all. It is due to their self-sacrifice to this horrible curse in order to uphold Justice and Fairness amongst Man, that they are amongst the most beloved Order in the eyes of the common people.

Like many Templar Orders, the Knights of the Everlasting Light traces its origins to the crusade against Karim, where it gained its fame and fortune from doing their part in the war-effort. Though they uphold the ideals of Fairness and Justice, it was during their great trek through the war-ravaged lands that they would be cursed for a single act of cruelty that will mark them for the rest of eternity. Legend states that when these knights passed through a small town filled with women and children, they hardened their hearts and slew them all without mercy or forgiveness. No one knows why they did it, but it was at their last dying breath, that the matriarch of the village cursed these knights for all time consigning them to a life of heroic service, but one that will ultimately doom them to ignoble deaths.

The curse first became apparent when the Order made its way home from the crusades, its ships laden down with fabulous treasures from their many victories against the Sultans of Karim. Despite the sea being calm, and the Order's ships sailing in a fleet along with ships from countless other Orders, only their very own ships sunk, sending the wealth of the Order to the bottom of the Black Gulf. In the centuries that followed, the Order has suffered worse and worse turns of bad luck, ranging from strange outbreaks of illnesses that afflict only their Knights, to blights in the food they purchase and having their horses be born with strange mutations and illnesses. Nearly every knight has met some ignoble end at the hands of this curse.

The knights swear to uphold the values of Verena, truth and justice, although as a result of their noble status, most of their views are skewed somewhat. The commoners they "deliver" unto justice do not always agree with their pronouncements. The Knights of the Everlasting Light wield great swords, representing the sword of justice, and wear expensive and elaborate plate armor.They are known to polish their armour to a highly reflective shine and their primary symbol is that of a lit candle, sometimes modified to feature a forked flame. TEAM BIO

Grand Master of the Everlasting Light, Sigismund Drak, jaded of the curse that affects the Order during the last centuries, decided to do something in order to honor Verena Goddess and recover the order from the cursed. He created a team to compete in the new HammerBall League created in the Empire and bring the trophy to the village where the order committed the terrible massacre. To undertake such huge feat, Sigismud order Arthur Penlizard, the best Knight of the Order, to select the best Knights on the Order and built up an amazing team.

Sir Arthur Penlizard: The leader and captain of the team, he is the best player of Ostermark province. Sigismund Drak entrust him the mission of winning the league trophy in order to honor Verena Goddess and recover the order from the cursed, briging the trophy to the village where the order committed the terrible massacre.

Sir Lancelot du ball: Lancelot du Ball is Arthur's greatest companion and one of his greatest knights. He then becomes the lord of Joyous Gard, and the greatest swordsman and jouster as the knight of most martial prowess of the age.

Sir Gawain the green dog: Arthur's nephew and one of the greatest knights and closest companions. He is formidable, courteous, and also a compassionate warrior, fiercely loyal to his king and family. As such he is a friend to young knights, a defender of the poor, and as "the Maidens' Knight", a defender of women as well.

Sir Kay the godfather: Arthur's foster brother, he is Arthur's seneschal, and one of the first Knights to join the team.

Sir Tristan the cheater: Tristan is even considered to be as strong and able a knight as Lancelot. He is a good lover but this will make him in troubles one day.

Sir Percival the lost: the youngest most adventurous Knight, he was the second to join the team after Lancelot in order to look up for adventures.

Sir Bors the exiled: he is a young knight known more for his loyalty and faithfulness than his swordsmanship. Bors whas great power and agility, due to the fact that he had once slain 3 vicious dragons with a slash of his sword. He is the best catcher of the team.

Sir Lamorak the sneak eye: he gains fame for his strength, fiery temper, and feats of martial prowess such as fighting off at least thirty knights all by himself on two occasions.

Sir Gareth the chef: Sir Gareth is Arthur's nephew and the most chivalrous of the Knights. He seeks to prove himself worthy of knighthood through his deeds instead of just his lineage.

Sir Bedivere the hermit: Is Arthur's marshall and is in charge of managing the treasury of the team.

Sir Galahad the gallant: is renowned for his gallantry and purity as the most perfect of all knights.

Sir Pellinore the questing beast: he beats King Arthur after three jousts and breaks the sword Arthur had withdrawn from the stone, Merlin throws a spell of enchantment on Pellinore to save Arthur's life. Arthur praises Pellinore's skill, and they soon become friends, with Arthur inviting him to join the team.

Merlin the short beard: best known as an enchanter or wizard, is one of the best Throwers in the Old World.
