[L] Chaos Dwarf 7s
| Recent events had hit the gig economy hard. Live music was cancelled across the Old World and cabalvision concerts just didn't have the same atmosphere. Band members had there wealth to fall back on and roadies could put their skills to use elsewhere but mascots were hit hardest. They had no prospect of cash from supporting their bands and missed the adoration of the roaring fans. So it came to be that a bunch of mascots got together to come up with get-rich-quick schemes. John Hobgoblikon pointed out the fact that most sporting fixtures were still going ahead in a heavily regulated way, for safety purposes. This sounded dull... As hope slowly diminished there was an sudden screeching outburst from Violent Mind, "Blood Bowl!". Murray conjured up a group vision of the brutal game and everyone perked up. After a celebratory mosh, where Baby Seal almost gave Knucklehead a concussion, Metal Mascot Mayhem were summoned into being. John Hobgoblikon took up the captaincy, having initially sparked the sports idea. An eager fan was swiftly roped in to coach the team (mainly to fill out the required paperwork and arrange the matches). The coach took a deep breath and entered the team into the HDBC Sevens Series... John tripped while dodging away from a Wardancer during the first match of the season. He suffered a fractured skull and huge embarrassment as it happened right on the side line in full view of the screaming crowd. After recuperating, he returned to the dugout as an assistant coach. Rather than become a Blood Bowl widow, John's partner Joan took to the field in John's barely used #1 shirt, snatching up the captaincy and pushing Mad Butcher to the bench! |
