"Chaos Dwarfs are not very numerous and make great use of sneaky hobgoblin slaves to perform all kinds of tasks, including playing on their Blood Bowl teams." --excerpt from the Living Rulebook, pg. 50 It began, as such things always do, with a vision. A vision of a team consisting solely of hobgoblins, feared throughout the lands for their stunning ability at Blood Bowl. This is the vision of the team's owner, Buz Grotdamn, a retired Star Player and perhaps the brightest hobgoblin that ever lived(about as smart as a middling-intelligent black orc). He hates Chaos Dwarfs as only an abused former slave can hate, and seeks to beat and humiliate them whenever possible, although all the "better" Blood Bowl races are equally legitimate targets, particularly elves due to their generally superior attitude. His first team, "The 'Obgob 'Ooligans", failed, as the evil god Hashut spread his vile influence through the 'Ead Office. The hiring of Chaos Dwarfs(as well as mutant Bull Centaurs and Minotaurs) in the name of "survivability" had diluted the first team's purity of purpose, and they are generally felt to have deserved the eventual implosion that ended their career. A new strategy was concocted, a new team bought right off the auction blocks of Zharr-Naggrund. They were young and inexperienced, but hungry for success. They started slowly, but after a few matches they took to the game like skaven to cheese-thievery. Their team captain, a gluttonous hill-troll of the wild lands, inspired them to achieve feats of glory on the pitch, and in the shadow of his example they thrived. Free of the meddling of dark stunty gods, they continue in their quest for greatness, inspiring hordes of slackjawed, mouth-breathing, greenskin hooligan followers to swell their side of the terraces as they go.
