The tale goes: Languishing in the realm of chaos, the Prince of Pleasure sought new forms of love and hate. And word reached him of a great tide of emotion, sweeping the world of mortals - extraordinary highs filled with song, drink and laughter; devastating lows, cruel disappointments and despair. What could it be that roused such delectable passion? It was decreed that the daemon armies of Slaanesh must discover the secrets of this "Blood Bowl", for anything that could provoke such ardour was surely a natural part of his dominion. Thus were born the Viragos of Vainglory. Hailing from the Circle of Vainglory in the Dark Prince's realm, this daemonic regiment has been sent out into the Known World with one purpose and one desire: to win fame and fortune on the Blood Bowl pitch. The proud Viragos will not rest until every cup, every throphy, every brilliant shiny medal is in their posession, and tales of their victories become the stuff of legend. In their quest, they are ready to deliver tantalising thrills and exquisite agony to their opponents in equal measure, until none is left who is not broken by their glorious might or spellbound by their splendour. No hunger will be left unsated, no thirst unquenched, and no touchdown unscored. Only once the Viragos have won everything there is to win, and no mortal or daemon can dispute their sovereignty - only then will they return to the realm whence they came and celebrate in the halls of the Palace of Pleasure.
