FDL Roast Thread

Praise Nuffle, our gentle lover: First game: Very first turn, after our setup, no gobbo or troll has even twitched yet. The referee shouts "Round one, fight!" and the opponent starts smashing. First blow on our number one troll, a big bad Ogre on the safe end of the fist - our beloved troll takes one between the eyes and falls prone unconscious. It is revealed that his regenerating powers are unable to help his poor head, and it becomes apparent that the medic who is ordered to help him can do naught better. Rest In Pease, my <a href = "http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=1529091">big friend.</a> I won't let this small setback get our team down. After the second match though, our surviving troll has been valiant enough to have earned his first skill - he learns the ways of double block. But being badly bruised and stressed out in both his two battles, he finds his protecting, tough skin thinner than it used to. Aww, poor fellow, don't you feel down! We all love you. In even the first games, our team managed to hone their skills beautifully after that and had some magnificent luck with three games on a row. Let's see if we'll survive a fight against a Nurgle team that has been calling us names... The gobbos became the hard core of the team, but in Bloodbowl spines are cracked. We mostly survived a lot of vamps, nurgles and even elves (the horror) but an angry <a href = "http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=134940">Ogre team</a>, which perhaps got a bit aggravated because of my goblin singlefootedly ripping one of his big guys, killed our muscular proud <a href = "http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=1529105">Sir Bob.</a> Rest in Peace our man sized greenskin. Our <a href = "http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1529101">most dodgy greenskin</a> managed to show his skill in a match against our great foe Kalpa. He learned a couple more tricks on the field and is now as dodgy as you can possibly imagine. Pretty neat for someone that has already suffered a lethal trauma in the head and been patched by our not-so-skilled apo. Let's see how far he can make it... [MUNDANE WORLD:] Tonalt was watching when I rolled four skills for this team after a lucky match. I repeated what the dice told me as I rolled: "Doubles." "Normal." "Normal". [END OF MUNDANE WORLD] Remind me not to play Ogres again. It seemed like a good idea the first time, but this last game I just got smashed. We've done it four or five times now. None of them have been too good to us. At least both our trolls have an additional thing in common now. Our dear adversary Petri_ has indirectly advised us to concentrate more on the ball and scoring, and less on the feet and kicking. The Board will see to this matter. Winning... whan a delicious idea.
