The world has produced many great pieces of literary art and we work hard to preserve them. The epic poems of years past, the flower romantic sonnets of Shakespeare, the more modern lines of Oscar Wilde and James Joyce. One Necromancer decided that their bodies should be preserved as well! So now he has raised them from the dead and they play BloodBall with strangely un-cultured reckless abandon.

What ever will the critics think?

The team started of slow, lost most of their early games. They were getting outbashed by bashers and outagiled by agilers. Ghouls were getting chewed up and spit out. The poor buggers stopped writing poetry, even Homer managed to be killed, again.

But Homer was re-raised, Virgil became the fastest Roman Mummy in Blood Bowl history and Oscar Wilde in a wild display of PR skills managed to get elected MVP 5 times. With a strong core cadre of authors, the Deceased Poet Society has gone on a winning streak. Homer even managed to pull down an interception and run for score against the Human Followers of the Dark Lords.

The team continues it's steady climb as a strong team. Shakespeare a competant Wight was lost, but has now been re-raised. The team is one of the faster Undead teams ever with a MV 5 mummy and a MV 7 Wight suprising many opponents.

Slammed back down into it's place are the Poets of Old. They have been blitzkrieged with some bum reviews in the last couple of games. First Virgil the Wrapped Wonder found his wrappings a bit too tight to execute the sudden bursts of speed he was used to. Instead of having an extremly fast dealer of death, Coach McHaggis found himself with another Guarding basher.

Then a game with a group of Dwarves showed to McHaggis why the Poet Society had a bad run in the start. They can not outbash a bashing team, with a bit of bad luck as well as a bad play or two McHaggis found his team losing and without two of it's star players, Ovid was lost to a niggling SI and Sir Francis Bacon had his head crushed in by an angry Dwarf.

What the future holds? No one knows.....
