<P align=left>These young girls hail from the flower-worshipping island of Floria. This island, despite its tiny size, is home to an astonishing range of flowering plants, and the local culture has grown around these.<BR>
At birth, selected girls of the tribe are honoured with the name of one of the flowers, and are brought up to embody the spirit of that bloom. These girls, known within the tribe as 'faeries', with their privileged upbringing invariably rise to the most prominent positions within their villages.<BR>
When the tribal elders heard of the sport of Blood Bowl, and of the riches that it could bring to Floria, it seemed natural to them that a team of the most athletic faeries should represent them, and so a small stadium was built in the centre of the island, and the team was born.<BR>
Unfortunately for the faeries, their traditional costumes, which are made from thin, pretty material, provide scant protection from the rigours of Blood Bowl, and the society was shocked by the death of one of their players in the very first game. Since, then, they have begun to wear lightweight armour underneath the dresses, which has reduced the casualty count somewhat, but their pride and traditions prevent them from changing their beautiful attire for something more practical.<BR>
However, the dresses have had <i>some</i> positive effect, notably on some Human and Norse teams, since a jaw that is hanging around knee level is an easier target for a punch!<BR>
Recently, the players have begun training with experts in Orchido, the island's indigenous floral martial art, and this has resulted in them presenting a significantly tougher lineup on the Blood Bowl field. However, the faeries are happiest when dancing around their opponents like petals in the wind, scattering pollen as they go.
