Hence some of the most cruel and unscrupulous Lahmians of the court of Neferata, high priestess and Night Queen at the Silver Pinnacle, founded Reginae Mortuorum, to restore their former fame, to once again revel in terrifying the masses, to once and for all rise above the mere mortals. Thus they enthralled some of the more promising human handmaidens inhabiting the Silver Pinnacle to still their hunger for blood, to serve as buffers and to do the dirty work, so that they themselves may shine all the more. |
