Bradbury’s frown slowly turned into a slightly insane grin, as Simon Gallop, his Str3, Ag5 tooled-up catcher, tried to dodge into an empty square and followed the Wardancer to meet his maker. A pile of bodies was slowly assembling around the Fleetfoot’s dugout. A niggled lineman, a niggled rookie Wardancer, another niggled ag5, guard, lineman. In fact, only Ron Whistlewind, his str4 blodger, seemed to have escaped death or permanent injury. Bradbury’s face set – he knew now what he had to do. Even Dwarves? He shuddered – it would have to be. Although the game wasn’t over, Bradbury turned and began to stroll as nonchalantly as possible towards the exit. A frenzy of camera flashes charted his progress. From behind him, a shattering of bones signalled that Nuffle’s work was complete. Bradbury didn’t look back. His features relaxed into a genuine smile.
