After watching the successful first season of the Wight Island Bloodbowl League, the Governors of Wooton Bridge decided that they should create a team to win the WIBBL Trophy, since they are the most famous of locations in the Wight Isle <i>(because of their inclusion in the Doomsday Book!).</i>
Once they had picked the bravest and most strongest of the Villagers they realised that their team was not going to be up to scratch!
After many meetings and discussions a suggestion was made to look to the dewellers of <i>Firestone Copse Forest</i>. Many of the Governors opposed the idea, believing that inviting the <i>"Fairy Folk"</i> to be harmed would bring bad luck to Wooton Bridge. But since they could not think off a better idea they reluctantly agreed to giving the invitation.
This proved to be a wise decision as the <i>"Fairy Folk"</i> sent they bravest warriors to play.
