The White Wolves were founded in the city of Middenheim during one of the many Chaos incursions which threatened to sweep the whole Empire away. The city lay directly in the path of the advancing Chaos Hordes, and only the bravery and determination of the Knights saved the city from destruction. Riding out on their fiery war horses, bareheaded and brandishing huge warhammerse the warriors met and defeated the Chaos Army, saving Middenheim and the Empire, earning themselves a place in the heroic legends of the Old World. The survivors decided to found a chivalric order sworn to fight Chaos, and they choose the name the White Wolves after the city of Middenheim. also known as the City of the White Wolf. To this day the White Wolves still celebrate the legendary battle of Middenheim by playing in the many Blood Bowl leagues around the Old World. Aric Whitefang, their leader, gathered his company, the white company, and made the team "Middenheim White Wolves". |
