Merry Cock Tavern Bruisers

The Merry Cock Tavern Bruisers come from humble
beginnings as a local amateur team. Co-founded by
drinking partners at the Merry Cock in Tangbrook,
the Bruisers initially formed to challenge another
amateur team of patrons of The Wet Badger. The ensuing
derby was hard-fought, but the Merry Cock Tavern
Bruisers outplayed their opponents.
As victors, the 'Cocks' received playing rights for
any talented players on the Wet Badger Alehouse
Runners' team.
Suitably self-impressed with their playing ability,
the the best players from the Cocks and the
'Runners' entered the Merry Cock Tavern Bruisers into
their first local league:
the Gromril Potato Cup.
