En el delta del Anduín, un inhóspito lugar pantanoso situado al sur de Gondor, habitan los hombres de los pantanos. Llaman a su tierra el Ethir, tienen su propio lenguaje, sus propias costumbres y sus propias leyes. Poco han aprendido del resto de los habitantes de Gondor, los orgullosos Dunedain, salvo una cosa, el Blood Bowl. No son unos expertos jugaodres, ni demasiado fuertes ni demasiado ágiles, y ni siquiera tienen dinero para adquirir una mísera armadura. Sin embargo cuentan con la ayuda de unos estraños seres, miembros de una secta que practica un rito secreto. Venidos desde Umbar estos extraños numenoreanos se han infiltrado entre la población de Gondor sin llamar la atención para cumplir así con su misión de espionaje. Solo se esconden en el Ethir cuando necesitan llevar a cabo sus rituales oscuros, bebiendo sangre de cualquier desdichado que hayan conseguido atrapar durante la noche. Estos rituales dotan a los numenoreanos de una fuerza y una agilidad especiales, pero tambiénn generan en ellos una adicción que a veces se transforma en una sed de sangre dificil de frenar. Es por esto que como equipo son bastante impredecibles, dependiendo totalmente de la habilidad de los numenoreanos para jugar al Blood Bowl, puesto que los marismeños poco más pueden hacer que aguantar estoicamente los golpes del rival. |
