The Nomads were one of the very few (and the best) teams from the city of Bilbali, on the Old World's northern coast. (The famed Archers left on a road-trip years ago and ne'er returned) The Nomads' roster was filled with an odd assortment of Elven races and backgrounds, many of them being gypsies, loners or castoffs. They traveled like a circus and some of the players even started resembling strong men, jugglers, and knife throwers. Oh, and a LOT of clowns! (Menachim once dropped passes in the endzone on 3 consecutive turns.) The lack of a well-skilled passer was their only real weakness, but that was slowly changing. Low armor is taking it's toll lately. We've had SIX deaths recently, but only 3 permanently...both dump-off Catchers and a ST4 lineman. Also the second niggling on a Blitzer, who had to be retired. Combined with no winnings...EVER!...(due to a pathetic fan factor) and it's getting rough. After 42 games came The Great Purge...4 VERY good players were released in the interest of progress. Of course the very next game after cleaning house we suffer a Death, a Niggle (apothed), a MNG, and 2 BHs....vs. Pro Elves! And of course the death was our 1 remaining frenzied Blitzer. Seems someone has it out for this team. 2nd game after Thrower gets -ST and a MNG. 3rd game after ST4 Lineman killed (apoth failed) and a MNG. Buh bye!!
