The Big Whoop Amusement Park, also known as The Carnival of the Damned, is the insidious amusement park built by LeChuck on Monkey Island through pillaging, plundering, abduction, murder and enslavement to be used as a recruitment program for his Army of the Undead and is named after the notorious treasure, Big Whoop, the source of LeChuck's demonic voodoo powers. The main purpose of the carnival was to lure thousands of sailors to be slaughtered by the energies of Big Whoop, through a roller coaster that passes right through a river of lava, and then reanimated into undead, skeletal warriors for LeChuck's new army of the damned. The Carnival appears in Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge and The Curse of Monkey Island and was built sometime by LeChuck and his enslaved forces between the first and second game and demolished by LeChuck by the fourth game. |
