Tredegar Tadpoles

The players of the Tredegar Tadpoles are the former crew of the feared Black Toad, a pirate vessel spoken of in hushed tones in taverns across the west coast.

Originally they found infamy through their skill at boarding actions as their long legs meant that they had a natural advantage at boarding actions as they didn't need to use rope to cross between ships. However their downfall came at the hands of Admiral Benbow who hunted the crew of the Black Toad down and after keelhauling their captain Flint-eyed Freddo gave the crew a choice - Keelhauling, or pressganging.

Most chose pressganging beleiving that they would still be alive on the highseas - But what they found out too late was that Benbow's plans for them were not as a crew aboard a ship but as a team on the Bloodbowl pitch. He was coming up for retirement and saw the prisoners as an investment having noticed that they could leap higher (if not as gracefully as elves).
