Season 1 7-1-1 TD 35-6 (Runner Up) Season 2 5-0-1 TD 24-8 (League Champions) Season 3 5-0-1 TD 19-12 (Runner up) Season 4 3-0-0 TD 8-4 (League Abandoned) The Caldedor Riders started out as a fresh faced team filled with rookies under the watchful eye of a new head coach in the CoV19 of the year 2020. SEASON ONE was an offensive masterpiece scoring by the elves. The hot young receivers got off to a quick start and secured 33 Touchdowns between them despite struggling at the Quarterback position, rotating rookie after rookie into the lineup, they just couldn't find a worthwhile solution. Losing only once during the regular season due to poor time management issues to the Chaos Team the "Secret Eaters" They had lost several players throughout the season, some forced into early retirement due to injure, others simply dead on the field despite the best work of the apothecary most notably the fresh recruit DemariElf Thomas the 1st was a receiver with extraordinary talent he was murdered on the pitch at the hands of a disgraced Orc Team. Despite the loses The riders honed their skills and a veteran core lead the team into the play offs with a 6-1-1 record. Where they would face their bitterest of rivals again. The semi final was a hard fought game and would prove to be a true classic. One for the ages to go down in the annuals of Blood Bowl History, The score tied at 1-1, the eaters had nullified the riders offense, winning the toss the elves took to the field with five, with barely an Elf left on the pitch the offense found its rhythm, a miraculous throw from the halfway line a spectacular catch with nerves of steel from Falama Marquise “Elfood” Brown” dodged his way downfield into the end zone for a walk off touchdown. It was the game of the tournament! Many thousands field the stands to witness the truly epic showdown. Battered and bruised from the semi final the Riderz fielded a team without the usual stars, they faced that same ragged Orc team that killed their star receiver. The Orcs stole victory from the league favorites in the final. The trophy however made a mysterious disappearance along with two of the leagues teams. Some say the league's commissioner had a deal with the Goblin team, others say he just plain hated Elves but the disappearance and whereabouts of the trophy remains a mystery. With no evidence the league commissioner kept his job after the season and enacted brutal reprisals upon the teams that had accused him, the league lost several teams as a result.. SEASON TWO, determined to put things right after the defeat in the championship game the riders started the second season having possibly found a solution at quarterback with “Rylanor Fitzmagic the Ivth” and a full receiving core and a packed veteran roster. This season, head Coach MichElf made pre season adjustments to the team, determined to concentrate on the defense side of the ball complimented with his high octane passing game. The riders opened the season against the Slannesh worshiping cult the "Secret Eaters", with a 1-1 record against each other the riders wanted to cement their dominance, and to the dismay of the watching crowds they handed the eaters a 6-0 drubbing, cementing themselves early as season favorites. The success continued, victory after victory until the final week of the season against the “Mirator’s Murderers”. Playing only for the number one seed, they Caledor Riders missing out on a perfect season they now faced arguably the easier team, the “Mini Growlers” a formidable Halfling team with likely League MVP “August Silverwind”, with 15 Touchdowns to his name he was the Halfling offense, the riders would have to show they had learnt some defensive lessons in order to secure victory. Nerves showed for the riders and this wasn't helped by the loss of "Agro Allen II" to the blood bowl gods on the opening kick off after the fans stormed the pitch. The riders resorted to a conservative defence plan, playing deep to prevent Silverwind's legendary TD rush. The plan almost paid off, having laid silverwind low with a mighty blow he was in the locker room beng patched up by the team apothocary. The riders wern't able to secure the ball and the halfllings took an early lead. Reprisal was quick for the elves, scoring fast before halftime. They recived the second half kick off and scored fast knowing that silverwind would be back for the halflings offensive drive they needed enough time left on the clock to score themselves. August Silverwind was launched into the air with the ball on his way to the end zone, flying downfield he slipped upon landing, seizing this rare opportunity, Elvin Kamara pummeled him into the dirt, baying for blood the elf blitzer took his revenge and ended the halflings life right there in the stadium. The elves rushed up the pitch, and with a last ditch pass from Fitzmagic IV the ball sailed through the air, a sure TD catch was in the making for a walk off TD but the fumbling butter fingers of "Randelf Cobb" just couldn't haul it in. As the clock expired Victory would have to wait until Overtime. Winning the toss the Riders elected to recieve, with a tired team and not trusting the hands of the QB the riders marched up the field and grinded out a rushing touchdown, killing another halflings in the offensive drive. Victorious! The game would be know forever in league history as "Murder in the Moot". The Riders would once again be in the championship game. Slight league management issues led to the Riders facing the sneaky rat team the Understreet Hood-Rat Pack led by the feared Blitzer chip who had an uncanny abiltiy to dodge downfield and violate anybody in the rats way. The Riders knew they would have to stop the rat packs superstar gutter runner Zhot Forebinder coming off a three touchdown victory against the downtown dead. Single handedly putting the team on his back, dragging the understreets into the title game. The riders kicked off first, crushing the rats who came up field and blitzed down into the backfield, sacking the QB and running it in for an early score, more of the same ensued. The Riders waltzed into the locker room 2-0 ahead. Knowing the speed of the rat pack the riders knew they would have to score again to ensure victory. Recieveing the kick off they marched downfield, scoring once again. This would be as one sided a match as any, the riders own Falama Marquise "Elfwood" Brown wanted to cement himself as the leagues number one receiver finished the game with 3 touchedowns and leading the riders to a 4-0 victory. Taking home the championship at last! SEASON THREE Looking to do the double, the riders would once again be the leagues favourites. They would however be up against several teams that had transfered into the league during the merger at the end of last season The new league combined two of the great divisions from the old world. Unfamiliar opponents are always a danger with new challenges and stars emerging each week. Season 3 got off to a rocky start against the cruesome growlers, tieing the game before facing the Renegade Gangster, lucky to have come away with a win after a sterling defensive effort and a last second TD off the turn over to win the game. The team starter to come alive in game three against the secret eaters, Falama claimed the teams record for most recieving touchdowns in a single game, torching them for 4 TD's. He was seriously injured with what looked to be a major spinal injury, the crowd looked on worried but fortunatly the teams Apothocary patched him up. THe first time that he has earned his money! To the delight of the fans Elvin Kamara continued his killing streak from the previous season, When facing Zhugrads Bombadiers the Chaos Dwarf Bull Centaur "Luccius the Morally corrupt" and the teams Hobgoblin "unlucky but plucky" both succumbed to their injuries at the hands of Kamara. With a league title on the line in the last game of the season the Riders had everything to play for against the previous seasons runners up. The Understreet Hood-Rat Pack came out strong scoring two touchdowns out of the gate. The riders returned fire, surviving the second blitz of the game, tieing the game at the half. Getting into their offensive stride the riders scored twice more but failed to stop the ratz from getting a third, with the dying seconds of the game and a playoff spot on the line the rats just needed to score for the draw and be in. But the riders defence closed ranks and prevented the score. The playoff picture set, with several players suffering injuries in the game (5) two of the riders O Line would be out of action for the matchup against the Renegade Gangsters. This would surely be a playoff match for the ages, the renegade team was now stronger than ever, pound for pound weighing it at double the elfs weight. A fearsome offensive line and a team made up of any race willing to worship a god for the chance of blood bowl glory! A tense first half, the riders defence nearly held the reneagdes offense but they continued pounding the elves into submission and scored, sending the riders into the locker room with a rare halftime deficit. In the second half the riders offence ran their standard quick score play, a missed catch from Falama Hollywood brown the teams superstar reciever left the ball on the turf. The riders recovered, and stumbled on the line, again and again the riders fumbled the ball away to have it recovered by the gansters. Able to knock the ball carrier down on the gansters TD line Emmanuel Surefire scooped it up for the eventual score in the dying seconds of the half. Tieing the game up the riders won the toss, short handed at the reciever postiion after injuries to the teams two best recievers, the pass flew through the hands of Rylander and was caught by Emmanuel Surefire who ran it in for the Over time touchdown. Setting the team up for another final. Facing off against the Gruesome Growlers who they had drawn with earlier in the season. The growlers had a large stash of gold ready for the final game of the season, convincing a Halfling Master Chef and Wilhelm 'The Wolf-Man' Chaney to join the team. The first half didn't go as well as the Riderz defence had hoped, losing Elfwood after when he tried to make a play on the loose ball, KOing him for the half, Emmanuel Surefire, failed to knock the wolf off the pitch, tumbling to the turf instead, the Growlers snapped the ball back up and ran it for a last second score. Straight out of the lockeroom the Riders scored fast in the second half, but undead did their damage, Clodius Campbell the teams star Lineman was killed and raised by the ghastly powers of the undead, now blocking for the Undead! The riders defence could not hold. The Werewolfs scored again just as time was about to expire, a riot errupted in the crowd! The refs moved the game clock back, the riderz would be gifted just enough time to make a play on offence and attempt to tie up the game and force overtime. Sending every reciever forward, Rylander moved back deep in the backfield, the Growlers Defence bunched up, KO'ing "Elfwood" who would be heading to the locker room for the second time this game, Rylander showed the Fitzmagic the fans have come to love and launched a spectacular pass into the waiting hands of Laurio Fitzgerald who made the catch in a sea of traffic. He leapt over the werewolf Defence, but was unable to keep his footing on landing, he came crashing to the ground along with the hopes and dreams of "Rider Nation". In the ensueing chaos Emmanual surefire had his skull fractured and Aonor Brown smashed his hand. Leaving the field, bloodied, beaten and defeated the Riderz watched on as the Gruesome Growlers lifted the Trophy. They watched Clodius Campbell and Elfon Diggs mindlessly shuffle off the pitch into the victorious teams locker room. SEASON FOUR An old nemesis returns..... Mirators Marauders face off against the Caledor riders in the opening game of the season, with several of the riders missing the first game whilst still recovering from off season surgery. The game was a tighter affair but the riders pulled through with a 2-0 victory. A high scroring affair agaisnt the old rivals the Underhood Rat Pack, finishing 4-3 to the riders. The gutsberg steerlers proved to be a bloody affair, killing two of the riders line elves. The team already lacked at the position really needed some skilled O line players. The head coach was determined to force his lineman to step up and play, but despite his best efforts the tedious trials of improving the teams lineman continue. Some say since the death of Clodius and the vile act of turning him into a zombie that the team has been cursed at the line elf position. Each successive Clodius has met his end within minutes of stepping foot on the turf of the blood bowl field. Unfortunatly after an unbeaten record the league was abandoned. Such is the way with so many start up blood bowl leagues. The hopes of another championship for " Rider Nation" will have to wait.
